Missing sample code for asp.net application

Oct 31, 2012 at 11:20 PM

Hi all --

Where can I download the sample code for the ASP.NET integration?  The website http://fbsitetest.computerbeacon.net/ seems to point me to URL's that do not have that specific example available.

Help please!!

thanks,

You can find sample codes for canvas and iframe apps that use ASP.NET at http://fgt.codeplex.com/releases/view/87811 . For integration with general ASP.NET websites, there are no sample codes at the moment, but the tutorial at http://computerbeacon.net/library/1hhbbvaqd0000 should provide a good guideline about what to do.

Hi kayson,

The documentation isn't quite enough, it gets someone who isn't a FB/OAuth/Graph exper about 70% there but even that was a bit of a struggle..

We have the login/redirect stuff working fine.  What we can't figure out is when Facebook redirects us back to our page, what code we should use on PageLoad to get the new FB information (email, etc) without re-calling Login().  Login can't be right..

thanks,

Calling Login() is the correct step. If the user is not logged in yet, the browser will be redirected to Facebook. If the user has already logged in (i.e. return from Facebook), the method call captures the login information. The Login() method can be described as "try to capture FB access token, redirect to Auth if fail".

The CanvasContext, WebContext and PageTabContext classes all behave exactly the same way.
